Why arrange a TikiTaka 3v3 World Championship?

TikiTaka Football Development elaborated tournament concept work towards:

TikiTaka Football Development give clubs an opportunity to arrange TikiTaka 3v3 World Championship. It is possible to arrange Local Tournaments and Regional Finals (in Sweden = District).

How is a TikiTaka 3v3 World Championship arranged?

When your club is registered as an organizer, one of our local representatives will contact you to be your guide throughout the arrangement. We have developed a well functioning tournament guide and other documents which will be a valuable aid in your work. All materials are collected in a document bank that you will have access to when you are appointed as an arranging club.

Finances

The registration fee is only 150 SEK/ player and is payable to the club which organize each tournament. For our work, tournament concepts and gifts (T-shirts, etc.), we charge only 45% (including VAT) of the entry fees. 10% of total revenues are provided into the contribution towards a better world. You therefore keep 45% of entry fees and 90% of all other revenues (e.g. specific sponsorship revenues for the tournament).

The registration fee of 150 SEK / players are divided as follows:

  • 67.50 SEK / player to the organizing club
  • 67.50 SEK / player to TikiTaka Football Development
  • 15 SEK / player for grants to support actions to a better world

Example:
12 age groups, with 8 teams / age group. Both boys and girls and an average of 4 players / team (a total of 768 players):

It gives the organizing club more than 50 000 SEK!

Playing order TikiTaka 3v3 World Championship

  • Local Tournaments:
    Completed before 2012-07-15.
    Open Enrollment.
    Every age group from P7 or F7 (born 2005 or later) to U18 PoF (born 1994 or later)
  • Regional Championships (in Sweden = Distriktsmästerskap):
    Completed before 2012-09-30.
    Open Enrollment for PF7 – PF12 with priority given to those who participated in local tournaments.
    The results of the local tournaments for PF13 – U18 qualifies for registering in the Regional Championships.
  • TikiTaka 3v3 World Championship:
    Conducted November 2012.
    Open Enrollment for PF7 – PF12 with priority given to those who participated in the Regional Championships.
    Participation in the Regional Championships for the PF13 – U18 qualifies for registering in
    TikiTaka 3v3 World Championship.
    Here you will find the World Champions in TikiTaka 3v3 in each age group.

The teams are guaranteed at least 4 games in the local tournaments and Regional Championships, which both use group play. .Up!

Qualification Rules

Age group PF7 – PF12 (-05 to -00)
For the ages PF7 – PF12, we want to emphasize “development before result.”

It is therefore an open registration to local tournaments and all who participated in a local tournament are eligible to register for the Regional Championships. Everyone who participated in the Regional Championships is entitled to register for TikiTaka 3v3 World Championship. Note that it is “first come, first served” that applies when there is limited seating to the Regional Finals and TikiTaka 3v3 World Championship.

To further encourage development, we will appoint the TikiTaka Team of the tournament in these age groups. The appointment is based on how well the team lives up to:

Age groups PF13 – U18 (-99 to -94)
For age groups PF13 – U18 the qualification rules are:

1. The winner of a Local Tournament is offered a place in their respective Regional Championships (provided at least 4 teams participated in the age group). If the winner does not wish to participate, the place will be offered to the runner’s up. If fewer than 8 teams qualified in each age group, Open Enrollment is applicable, as a “first come, first served” for the remaining places up to 8.

2. The winner of a Regional Championships is offered a place in TikiTaka 3v3 World Championship (provided at least 4 teams participated in the age group). If the winner does not wish to participate, the place will be offered to the runner’s up.

In addition, the runner’s up in the 8 regions with the most registered players to the Local Tournaments in respective age group, are also qualified to enter.

If no team in an age category from a region has qualified, the registration will be through Open Enrollment according to “First come, first served.”.Up!

With the help of the Document Bank and the support of our local representative, the planning and execution of the tournament will be a pleasure for the club. Q: Who can enroll a team?
A: Only teams related to a football club can participate in tournaments.

Q: How do you define the different age groups?
A: The team’s oldest player’s birth year determines the age category.

Q: How many players may we have in the team?
A: You may submit a maximum of 5 players.

Q: When should I enroll my team?
A: Last entry date is written in the tournament organizer’s invitation letter.

Q: How do I know that my team has been admitted to the tournament?
A: Immediately after the enrollment and payment is registered, you will be notified about your placement in the tournament from the organizer.

Q: When is registration?
A: The team must be registered 1 hour before the first match.

Q: Can I change the lineup after enrollment?
A: Yes, lineup can be changed up until the registration day of the tournament.

Q: Can a player play in more than one team?
A: No, one player can represent only one team during the tournament year.

Q: Can a team participate in several local tournaments?
A: Yes, there is no limit on the number of tournaments the team may participate in.

Q: Can I change the lineup between different tournaments?
A: Yes, but at least two players from the first lineup registered must be present at each tournament time during the year. The new players may not have previously represented another team.

Q: When is the draw made public?
A: The draw and playing times are published in accordance with the respective tournament organizer’s invitation.

Q: For how many days is a tournament running?
A: Local and regional tournaments are one day tournaments for each age group.

Q: How many matches are guaranteed, during a tournament?
A: In local and regional tournaments the teams are guaranteed at least 4 games.

Q: What equipment is needed at the matches?
A: It is mandatory to have uniform shirts and leg protections. Sweaters or jackets of another color other than your match T-shirts should be brought to be used if an opponent happens to have  a similar shirt color as your regular shirt.
