This past weekend has been an exciting weekend for both TikiTaka and Tyreso.  The weekend started off with a day camp on Saturday, which was run by TikiTaka instructor Jackie Bachteler.  The group consisted of talented players born in 2001 all the way up to 1997.

The sessions were designed for the elite player; it was challenging, everything was very game like with a high degree of decision-making and most importantly it was fun. The players left every session wanting more.

TikiTaka has been working with the Academy since March.  The progress and development on the pitch has been absolutely tremendous.  The tempo, creativity and the competitive edge that is brought to every training is high class.

“This group is a very special group.  They have dreams of playing for the A team (Tyreso FF), playing professionally and playing for the Swedish national team. They want to be the best they can be and they are absorbing everything TikiTaka and I throw at them. They have taken massive steps in the right direction and I am honored to be working with such a fantastic group” -Jackie Bachteler, TikiTaka

Besides two training sessions, one psychological session was held.  The topic was Excellence.  Excellence and achieving Excellence has been a topic brought up throughout the whole year.  At the end of the talk the players were split up into small groups and had to present in front of the camp.  Each player that came up to the front, came up and spoke clearly, with a confidence and a charisma that they did not have in March.   Not only have the players developed on the field they have also taken enormous steps forward mentally and are striving for excellence everyday.

On Sunday, the academy, the girls born 99’, 98’ and a few of the Dam Juniors traveled to Västerås with Jackie as well as TikiTaka instructors Emma Lindberg, Rebecka Hornsater and Tyresos Fredrik Carlsson to play their first match together as one team.   Two games were played against the Vastmanlands Distriktlag.  The first game consisted of a mix of the younger players; girls born 00-99 and then the second game with a mix of mostly older players; 99-97.

The Tyreso players in both games were open to try new positions and stepped up against an older, bigger, and faster opponent. Many classy scoring opportunities were created and resulted in two great goals for Tyreso

Vastmanslands District team has extremely talented players with many players that play Senior football.  Tyreso put up a great fight and played together as one unit! The tempo, possession and creativity had their opponent chasing.  The Distrkt won both games with experience on their side.  They knew when and how to take advantage of their strengths in the final third. With that being said the performance the Tyreso players put on was fantastic and it was fun to watch!

There was nothing but positive feedback from both players and coaches.   Every player stated how much fun they had playing in the game, you could see in their eyes that dreams were just growing and possibilities unfolding.  Each player left this game and ended this season with a new confidence and a new spark that will continue to drive them to become the best they can be!

“It was very rewarding trip to Västerås. Our Girls’ Academy Players have developed greatly throughout the year, but something special happened this Sunday, on the bus, in the locker room, on the pitch. We went to Västerås with a group of youth girl players and came back with a group of mature junior players.” –Fredrik Carlsson (Tyreso FF)

“I am so proud of this group. We had incredibly talented players with us that play on the Dam Junior team and then we had talented players that play for the youth girls 00’ team and everything in between.  My favorite part about this trip is that we did not go as Tyreso girls 99’, Tyreso girls 98’, 01, Junior team, etc. Instead we went as ONE TikiTaka, ONE Tyreso, ONE Team.” –Jackie Bachteler (TikiTaka Instructor)
