Tyresö got to experience 90-90 with Tony Gusavsson the night before and now it was American Jackie Bachteler’s turn to guide the coaches and their players through TikiTaka drills.

Jackie ran a unique fun, technical warm up with over 100 Tyresö players. Each player got many touches and with creative ball control drills; they were challenged.

She demonstrated 3-4 drills and then the coaches had the opportunity to train their players with the TikiTaka method.

 Tony’s five fingers

In the 90-90 Tony said in order to create or progress an exercise you need five key factors:

  1. Space
  2. Players
  3. Ball
  4. Goal
  5. Rules

“My drills are an outline. I want them to copy me but add their own unique twist also.  The coaches have the freedom to be creative and have the option to change the drill to develop different soccer principles by using ‘Tony’s five fingers.’ ”

Using Tony’s five fingers, the coaches were creative and Jackie mentored each group through the TikiTaka method.

Both players and coaches left the session with a feeling of happiness and inspiration.
